Pop Art Icons

This collection is a celebration of influential women who have shaped our culture. Titled Pop Art Icons, the series features striking portraits of trailblazers who have left an undeniable mark on history. I paired bold black and white silhouettes with vibrant splashes of red and meticulously detailed backgrounds. My goal is to create minimalist compositions that allow you to connect immediately with the powerful presence of these icons.

Each original work is hand-painted in my Omaha studio using professional Winsor & Newton gouache on 100% cotton paper. I finish every piece with a specialized coating of Dorland’s Wax. This archival process eliminates the need for glass, allowing collectors to experience the rich and matte texture of the paint without glare.
