This collection is a tribute to the enduring spirit and resilience of Frida Kahlo. I have reinterpreted her iconic image through a modern lens, blending minimalist portraiture with intricate botanical patterns and vibrant red roses. Each original work is hand-painted in my Omaha studio using professional archival gouache on 100% cotton paper. I finish every piece with a specialized wax coating. This eliminates the need for glass and allows collectors to experience the rich and matte texture of the paint without glare.
