This original painting is a standout piece from my Pop Art Icons collection. Titled Norma Jean, the artwork captures the timeless glamour and enduring presence of Marilyn Monroe. I painted her portrait using a high-contrast black and white silhouette, accented by a vibrant splash of red on her lips and classic turtleneck. She is set against an elegant Art Deco geometric background that reflects the era of her legacy.

I painted this piece in my Omaha studio using rich Winsor & Newton gouache on cotton paper. My goal was to create a graphic statement that feels both nostalgic and undeniably powerful.

What makes this piece truly unique for collectors is the archival finish. I have mounted the cotton paper onto an acid-free board and sealed the surface with Dorland’s Wax. This technique completely eliminates the need for glass. It allows you to enjoy a glare-free and intimate view of the painted texture without reflections.
